Summary
Basel Parking Live does not collect any personal data. The app has no account, no analytics and no advertising.
Car park data
To show free spaces, the app downloads public data from the open-data portal of the Canton of Basel-Stadt (data.bs.ch) and, if that is unavailable, from www.parkleitsystem-basel.ch. Like any website, these servers receive your device's IP address with the request. The app sends them no other information.
Map
The map is provided by Apple (MapKit) and is subject to Apple's privacy policy.
Location
The app asks for your location only when you choose Nearby. It is used on your device to sort car parks by distance, and is never stored or sent by the app.
Directions
When you tap Directions, the app opens Apple Maps or Google Maps with the car park's position. From then on, that app's privacy policy applies.
On your device
Favourites, your colour theme and the last downloaded car park data are stored on your device only.
